There was more woe for Feniton as they suffered a fifth defeat in six D Division outings, beaten at high-flying Filleigh by 74 runs.

The home side batted first and powered their way to a close of 277-8.Mark Kingdom was the star of the show in terms of the Feniton bowling as he picked up four wickets whilst John Pyle bagged a brace.

Alex Frankpitt top scored in a respectable reply, hitting 55 as Feniton closed on 203-9.

A consolation for the travelling side was the banking of maximum batting points and that keeps them out of the bottom two in the section.

They head into Saturday’s halfway point of the league season with an East Devon derby with Seaton.

Saturday’s visitors’ to Acland Park lost for the third time last Saturday and they will pitch up sitting one place and eight points better off than Feniton in the table.
