Chardstock were beaten by 111 runs at Exeter Civil Service.
The home side batted first and, led by a fine 76 from their Australian player closed on 190.
Will Parris was the most successful bowler with 4-41 from 13 overs.
After tea the Chardstock batsmen found it hard going and only skipper James Hayden with 19, stuck around for long.
The final wicket fell on 79 to consign Chardstock to a heavy defeat.
This Saturday Chardstock will hope to stage their first home game of the league season when they host Culmstock.
