Honiton loss sees them slide back into trouble
PUBLISHED: 11:09 14 August 2013
Honiton’s 135-run defeat at home to D Division champions-elect sees the Mountbatten Park men slip back into the thick of the relegation battle.
The problem for Honiton was not that they fell to all-conquering Clyst Hydon who most teams this season have gone down to, their angst was increased by wins for all three of the morning’s basement sides!
Kev Conway top scored with 84 and there were 30 extra’s in a Honiton total of 186 which was woefully short of the visitors offering of 321-3 in which Tom Cligg claimed 2-62.
Honiton’s last three starts with Saturday’s trip to Filleigh after which they go to Halberton and Sampford Peverell and then end their season at home to promotion chasing Shaldon Optimistic.
