Hovell takes four but Yarcombe slip to heavy defeat

Yarcombe missed out on the chance to take over in top spot in E Division when they went down heavily at Kingskerswell.

Yarcombe began the day in second spot in the E Division table but they were thumped by 170 runs at Kingskerswell where the home side batted first and posted a score of 244-6.

Simon Hovell took 4-41 for Yarcombe who were then bowled out for just 74 with only John Mitchum (30) making any impression in then score book.

This weekend Yarcombe launch the second half of their league season with a home meeting with Exeter Civil Service.
