Hutchings the hero as Chardstock win East Devon derby

Chardstock skipper Rob Hutchings led from the front as his team saw off Kilmington in a Tolchards Devon League D Division East meeting.

Jack Larcombe top scored for Chardstock with 56 and the skipper chipped in with 54. There were other supporting knocks from Stuart Parris (43) and Gavin Churchill (35) in a Chardstock offering of 279-7.

Kilmington made a great fist of the run chase, closing just nine runs shy with their last pair at the wicket!

Sean Perry top scored for Kilmington with 75, but it was that man Hutchings who made sure his team sealed victory as he claimed six wickets for just 36 runs.
