Kennard impresses in Upottery defeat

PUBLISHED: 13:05 22 May 2012

Upottery were held up by the last pair at Kenn and that leaves them still searching for their first E Division win of the season after three outings.

Adam Pullman (60) and Ollie Rice (51) were the principle run getters in a total of 176 all out.

Kenn’s final pair were at the crease when stumps were drawn with the total 135.

The last pair had managed to dig out the final six overs to see their side to a losing draw.

Shane Kennard returned the impressive figures of 3-10 and there were also three wicket hauls for Stuart Drew (3-22) and Daniel Broom (3-42).

Upottery will seek to bring their win less run to an end with Saturday’s visit of high flying Uplyme & Lyme Regis.

Upottery 2nds were denied action when scheduled opponents Exmouth III could not raise a side. On Saturday the 2nds travel to Uplmye & Lyme Regis II.
