Kilmington suffered defeats at both 1st and 2nd XI level on a sun-kissed first Saturday of June.

The senior side were bowled out for 180 at home to a Whitchurch side that had earlier closed on 241-6.

Ralph Stonex top scored with 55 for Kilmington who now sit second bottom of the E Division and host Topsham St James on Saturday.

Kilmington II were 56-run losers art Axminster II where the home side scored an imposing 259-4 answered by the visitors with 203-9 with John Tattershall the top scorer on 67 not out.
