Kilmington’s Gooding chalking up the runs.

The Francis Clark Devon League E Division batting and bowling lists at the half way mark of the season see local players feature prominently.

Kilmington’s Tom Gooding sits second to Shaldon batsman Todd Ballman with 329 runs. Gooding has 281 and next in line is Uplyme and Lyme Regis skipper Ash Caddy with 257.

Steve Batey of Uplyme and Lyme Regis sits ninth with 198 runs and that’s four more than team mate Mark Batey. Completing local interest in the top twenty is Upottery skipper Dave Woolacott with 151 runs that sees him sit 19th.

Uplyme’s Steve Batey sits fourth in the wicket taking charts with 19, three behind Bridestowe’s Lee Jutson. Hal Cook sits eighth with 13 wickets for Kilmington and Uplyme skipper Ash Caddy is just behind with a dozen wickets so far.

There are three Upottery bowlers who make the top 20 with Stuart Drew, Gary Kennard and Shane Kennard each having taken 11 wickets at the half way stage of the season.
