Kilmington suffered one of their heaviest defeats in many seasons when they were thumped by a margin of 318 runs at E Division table toppers Babbacombe.

After the home side had powered their way to 367-5 the Kilmington reply was done and dusted for just 49!

It was not a good day all round for Kilmington for the 2nd XI, despite doing very well with the bat, slipped to a seven wicket home defeat to Countess Wear II.

Ash Cook (86) and John Lavender (55no) led their side to an impressive 266-7.

However, the visitors cruised home, losing just three wickets.

On Saturday Kilmington play a double header with Upottery with the senior sides meeting at Kilmington and the 2nd XIs going head-to-head at Upottery.
