Feniton banked 13 points from a winning draw in their home meeting with Halberton and Sampford Peverell.

Skipper Mark Kingdon top scored with 65 and there were contributions from Brian Cann (39), Graeme Tucker (24) and Alex Frankpitt (24) in a total of 200-7.

The Mid Devon side then laboured to 154-5. Charlie Selley ended wicket less, but his nine over spell saw him concede just eleven runs.

Kingdon said: “We batted well and maximum batting points is as much I’d hoped for. They then dug in and we weren’t quite able to finish them off, but I am pleased with the points haul and it keeps us very much in the mix at the right end of the table heading into the second half of the campaign.”

On Saturday Kingdon leads his side to one of the in-form teams in the section, Plymouth Civil Service and Roborough.
