Kilmington had Kenn in all sorts of bother at 60-8 before the visitor’s tail wagged to help them to a close of 140.

It was Ben Noble and skipper Maurice Beviss who tore through the top and middle order, each taking four wickets.

Noble completed his 13 overs with figures of 4-23 and the skipper, who sent down a similar number of overs, finished with 4-27.

Hal Cook picked up the last two wickets art a cost of 34 runs. Dave Cooper then hit 40 and Tom Gooding an unbeaten 34 whilst Win Wilmott chipped in with 17.

Skipper Beviss said: “We bowled very well and also held our catches. The all-round support fielding was very good, that said I do feel we should have got them out for a lot less than the 140 given they were 60-8 but it ended up a highly satisfying all-round effort by the side.”

Kilmington II hammered hosts Kenn II by a whopping 173 runs. This weekend the side entertain second in the table Seaton II in an East Devon derby.
