Seaton 2nds Stuart Wight struck a superb unbeaten century to lead his side to a 181-run win over visiting Uplyme and Lyme Regis II.

The 15-year-old is also a very talented golfer and has been lost to the game of cricket as he has concentred on the 18-hole sport for much for the past two years.

The youngster has been with the cricket cub since a young age and this season has taken to playing cricket on Saturday’s and golf on Sunday’s.

His 103 not out underpinned a team total of 279-4 with the previous weekend s century scorer, Kev Moran, hitting 65.

James Thomas then claimed a fivefer whilst Chris Aplin (3-15) and Jack Harwood (2-5) bagged the other wickets as the visiting side were bowled out for 99.

The seventh win of the season lifts Seaton II into joint second place in the D Division East table. They have 150 points, as do Uplyme and Lyme Regis with two other teams, Countess Wear and Kilmington, a point behind and Axminster II leading the section with 167 points.

On Saturday Seaton II travel to Kentisbeare II.
