Seaton defeated Bovey Tracey 2nds by seven wickets thanks to batsman Joel Seward and his 54 runs.

Having won the toss, Bovey Tracey elected to bat and found life difficult as none of their opening five batsmen registered a score higher than eight.

Ben Libby was the pick of the bowlers, with his three wickets for just eight runs.

The away side eventually recovered with Freddie Eyston and Daniel Green scoring 28 and 38 respectively. They ended on 134-8 giving Seaton an achievable score to chase.

Opener Stephen Pritchard set his team off on the right foot with 21 runs from 73 balls including a boundary.

When his opening partner Rhys Davies fell on 8-1, Joel Seward stepped in and powered his way through the runs. Making quick work of his half century, he found the boundary on seven occasions.

Niall Waterhouse was the last wicket to fall for Seaton before Seward and Ben Morgan combined for a partnership of 61 to win the match.

Next on the horizon for Seaton is a trip to Brixham on Saturday, May 11.
