Seaton's promotion hopes were all but sunk with the cancellation of their game at Filleigh.

The fact that every other D Division game was also washed out does mean, mathematically, that the Court Lane side could still go up.

However, it is Plymouth Civil Service and Roborough who go into the final day looking strong favourites to head up to the C Division with Yelverton.

Given they are unbeaten home or away since May 12 they will fancy their chances of taking the dozen points they require to end the Seaton hopes.

Seaton skipper Ben Morgan reflected on yet another washout – his sides fifth of the season, saying: “Adding to the frustration is that three of the games we lost to the weather were games that we had won handsomely first time round. We are still in with a shout and can only go into the game with Whimple looking to bag as many of the 20 points as we can and hope that that is enough to see us over the line.”
