Seaton’s Moran proves mighty with big knock in huge win

Seaton II won their game at Feniton II by 114-runs to take the D Division East title race to the final day.

Kev Moran hit 88 in a Seaton total of 223-9 declared and then Ian Hunt (4-26) and Jack Thomas (3-28) combined to bundle the Acland Park side out for 109.

On Saturday Seaton II host fourth placed Countess Wear and need to win, and bank four more points in their win that Axminster might bank with a win over Uplyme and Lyme Regis II.

The later can also win the top honour. For the title to go there way they have to beat Axminster II, deny the Cloakham lawn side any more than four points and also rely on Seaton losing – an unlikely sequence!
