Tipton’s poor run of form continued with a four-wicket defeat at Woodbury.

After being asked to bat first Tipton failed to set a challenging total being all out for 124 in the 39th over. Phil Tolley was caught and bowled by Chalky White for 25 and Alex Tubbs was run out for the second time in a week, this time for 29!

The only other batsman to trouble the Woodbury bowlers was Dave Dawson with a brisk 23 at the end.

In a rain-interrupted Woodbury reply, Tipton bowlers started well with both Mark Channon and David O’Higgins bagging a brace of wickets each to leave Woodbury on an alarming nine runs for four wickets!

However, White and Riordan Jackson (31) took the home team towards victory.

Although Phil Wright bowled White for 38, this only brought in Dave Stevens who hit a quick 41 to take Woodbury home with over six overs to spare.
