Tucker and Piggot blast Seaton II to Cully triumph

Seaton II are a couple of wins away from being promoted out of the E Division East 2nd XI.
An eighth win of the season came with a six wicket success at Cullompton thanks to the combined efforts of Toby Tucker and Tyrone Piggot.
The Mid Devon side batted first and, at 140 without loss, looked to be on their way to a big score. Then stand-in skipper Dave Turner, leading the side in the absence of injury victim Ian Hunt who was on scorebook duties, threw the ball to Toby Tucker. The off-spinner proceeded to claim seven wickets and finished with figures of 7-46 to help bowl out Cully for 215.
Piggot then came to the wicket from the number five slot and smashed an unbeaten 125 to lead Seaton to 217-4 and a six wicket success.
Piggot plundered no fewer than nine 6s in his innings. Regular skipper Ian Hunt said: “It was powerful hitting; he struck the ball very cleanly. Mind you the contribution of Toby (Tucker) should, not be played down either; he put the ball on the spot with great consistency.”
