Upottery lose at Cullompton

Upottery went down by 89 runs when they travelled to Cullompton.

The home side batted first and, led by their overseas batsman who plundered a powerful 99, scored an imposing 287-8. Dave Broome was the most successful of the Upottery bowlers with figures of 3-65.

Upottery made a good fist of the run chase with Simon Durrant scoring an excellent century before being dismissed for 103. James Mitchum was responsible for the next best contribution, his innings being one of 38 runs as the reply closed on 208.

On Saturday Upottery entertain Halberton and Sampford Peverell.
