Upottery were hit by rain for the third time in nine matches when their game at Kentisbeare was washed out.

When the rain arrived the Mid Devon side were 74-2 looking to chase down Upottery’s 146 in which Stuart Drew (31) and Adam Pulman (27) had been the principle scorers.

Upottery II slipped to a seven wicket home defeat at the hands of Kentisbeare II.

Jack Trevisic (43), Adam Crabb (39) and a battling seven from Mike Arscott helped the villagers to 149, passed for the loss of just three wickets by the visitors. Sam Bath and his dad Adam Bath together with Adam Crabb claimed the wickets.

On Saturday the 1st XI host Tiverton and Bickleigh and the 2nd XI make the long trip to North Devon III.
