Whimple lose another contest to the weather

PUBLISHED: 12:57 10 July 2012

Whimple were denied the chance to take to the pitch against Halberton and Sampford Peverell owing to a Mid Devon pitch that was more suited to duck racing on the morning of the match.

It’s the second time this season that Whimple have been washed out in a bid to meet Halberton, the game in the opening day of the season was the only one to be washed out in the D Division.

The weather has hit Whimple four times in their opening ten match days.

Ben Silk and his side will hope for better weather to allow them to see action this coming Saturday when they are set to entertain Honiton.
