Whimple’s 1st XI players sat out their third match day in five as rain ruined any chance of action in the East Devon derby with Honiton.

Whimple have now played just three games to a finish since the final Saturday of May!

It’s not been much better for the Whimple 2nd XI who sat out a second successive soggy Saturday and they have also been unable to play on three of the last five June and July Saturdays.

This weekend the 1st XI host a Countess Wear side who beat them by seven wickets when the teams met in mid-May.

The 2nd XI also lock horns with Countess Wear, they travel up to Winslade Park, Exeter for their game
