The 2017/18 Devon League Young Player of the Year Cameron Kidd’s 61 sent Whimple on their way to victory over Exeter 2nds,

The Whimple bowlers were also in fine form as they dismissed the Exeter team for 107 runs after 38.3 overs.

Kidd's 61 was the highest score of the game as Whimple raced towards the winning target in just 19.3 overs.

Matt Richards, Stephen Hathawa and Matt Brown all took two wickets each for Whimple while Less Nessling dismissed three batsmen.

Whimple opener Nathan Kidd ended on 22 not out as his team lost just three wickets in their innings.

The seven wicket win was never really in doubt and Whimple are now second in the C Division East table behind Exmouth 2nds.

Whimple now face a top of the table clash away at Exmouth 2nds on Saturday, May 18.
