Archant

Following some unseasonal Spring weather for gliding, the May course enjoyed some pleasant soaring conditions at North Hill, writes Jill Harmer.

The course was made up of a mix of club members and new members, with some progressing through the training syllabus and others celebrating solo soaring flights.

Congratulations, to Andy Davey, from Exeter who achieved his silver height and also a two-hour flight towards his cross-country Endorsement, and David Cowley, from Yeovil with a one-hour solo flight.

Our courses this season are fully booked, but try gliding by starting with a trial lesson. Find out about trial lessons at Devon and Somerset Gliding Club, purchase and book online by visiting our website dsgc.co.uk
