The past week saw plenty more action for Lyme bowlers, writes Paul Moffit.
There were league defeats for both the ladies and Lyme Two, who went down 6-4 against Sherborne and Melcombe Regis respectively.
Lyme One were fortunate to come away 6-4 winners, against top of the league Branksome Park, thanks to a superb last wood from Paul Pomeroy, drawing the shot, and ensuring a drawn game overall.
The club’s friendly woes continue with a record over the past week of played three and lost three with the latest sequence of defeats coming against Honiton, Sidmouth and Merriott.
