In very tricky conditions Simon Brown won Division One of the May medal with an excellent nett 68, writes Richard Jackman.

He was followed home by followed by scratch golfer Stuart Wight, 69, and Richard Parfitt, 70.

Patrick Duke, nett 74, won Division Two, Simon Leech was second with 76, one better than Jeremy Linnert.

The ever-present David Lyon won the midweek stableford with 39 points, to pip Stephen Buxton by one point with Jon Ebdon third on 36.

The ladies medal and scratch cup was keenly contested, but solid consistent golf by Jane Dixon, nett 74 won Division One from Kate Smith 76, and Gilly Madill 79.

Division Two saw Lizzie Linnert’s nett 76 win from Joy Madge, nett 79, and Karen Nicholson nett 80, Jane Dixon won the Scratch Cup, and Lizzie Linnert, the Bronze Scratch Cup.

Jane Dixon had a good week, as she then partnered Caroline Baker in the Dorset Silver Interclub foursomes and they it through to the final day and beat Parkstone in the semi-final and Broadstone in the final, to win the cup for Lyme Regis for the first time in over 30 years.
