Honiton were well beaten at Plymouth Civil Service and Roborough.

Batting first they were led to a respectable 212-7 by Brad Groves (55) and George meadows (48).

However the hosts ensured their unbeaten ruin stretching back to May 12 continued as they romped to a six wicket win.

Honiton 2nds went down by four wickets at home to Plymouth Civil Service and Roborough II. Kev Kelly (70no) and Joe Dixon (40) combined to help their side to 184-8, passed for the loss of six wickets by the visitors. Kelly competed a decent afternoon’s work with 2-51.

On Saturday the Honiton senior side host winless Cockington whilst the 2nds travel to second bottom Barnstaple and Pilton. A win in North Devon would all but end any worries of a swift return to the D Division East.
