East Devon swimmers in great Tivvy form
Several Chard and District swimmers participated in an Open Sprint meet held at Tiverton.
Several Chard and District swimmers participated in an Open Sprint meet held at Tiverton.
Throughout the day, swimmers collected many top three positions also obtaining numerous personal best times.
Luke van den Barselaar, aged 13, and Beckie Rutherford, 14, were top performers from the club, with Luke achieving five first positions in the 50m fly, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and 100m individual medley.
Beckie won the 50m freestyle, butterfly, backstroke and 100m individual medley.

They were closely followed by Abigail Dare, 12, with three firsts in the 50m freestyle, backstroke and 100m individual medley.
Their efforts were superb and their performances were noticeable - congratulations Luke, Beckie and Abi.

Top 3 positions were as follows: 50m freestyle: (1st) Abigail Dare, Luke van den Barselaar, Beckie Rutherford; (2nd) Elsie Emery, 11 and Hannah Pullinger, 13; (3rd) Charlie Kendall, 9, Marsha Emery, 10, and Jamie Pullinger 10.
50m backstroke: (1st) Oliver Bilbie, 11, Abigail Dare, Luke van den Barselaar; (2nd) Adam Reid, 9, Elisha Hawkins, 9, Jamie Pullinger, and Hannah Pullinger; (3rd) Charlie Kendall, and Laura Coombs, 14.
50m breaststroke: (1st) Jamie Pullinger, Elsie Emery, 11, Luke van den Barselaar, and Hannah Pullinger; (3rd) Beckie Rutherford and James Rutherford, 14.
50m butterfly: (1st) Elsie Emery, Luke van den Barselaar, and Beckie Rutherford; (2nd) Lewis Pearson, 9, Jamie Pullinger and Marsha Emery; (3rd) Abigail Dare, Hannah Pullinger and Laura Coombs.
100m individual medley: (1st) Abigail Dare, Luke van den Barselaar and Beckie Rutherford; (2nd) Lewis Pearson, Jamie Pullinger and Hannah Pullinger; (3rd) Elsie Emery and James Rutherford.
Other competitors included Jade Hawkins (time trial), Sarah Underwood, Mollie Simpson, Jenna Emery, Nathan Roberts and Ben Fowler.
