Following on from Easter Sunday’s heavy rain - Easter Monday weather was sunny and warm making for a happy atmosphere to play for the annual Easter Egg competition, a greensomes stableford, writes Andy Wagner.
In spite of the press reporting an apparent shortage of Easter Eggs the Honiton lady captain had no such problems with the prize table which was a chocoholics dream!
Club captain Ron Graham partnered lady captain Elizabeth in the competition and then checked the cards with the lady captain presenting the prizes.
First place went to Jackie and Allan Seager with 42 points. Second were Penny Blackburn and Terry Dimond with 41 points and third spot went to Heather and Peter Clarke scoring 38 points. Two twos were carded - Jackie and Allan on the second hole and Penny and Terry on the fourth.
