Entries are flooding in for the Dart Vale and Haldon Harriers pony races at Buckfastleigh on March 9, and organisers may have to 'ballot out' after entries have closed (Sat Feb 28).
Entry secretary Claire Wright said: "So far a lot of the entries are from places as far afield as Wales and Worcester and the races are filling up fast."
Should there be more than 10 in each race, ponies will be balloted out - preference being given to host and neighbouring hunts first, then other Devon and Cornwall area ponies.Owners are reminded to include an SAE with their entry. Car passes and race day itineries will not be sent out if an SAE is not received.
