Axe Vale Pony Club success

Under the helm of new district commissioner Rhian Carruthers The Axe Vale Pony Club sent four teams to Stockland Lovell for the Weston Harriers PC team show jumping event.
Team captain Imogen Carter was delighted with the overall results.
She said: “It is so lovely to see how from the youngest age of six years to the oldest at 15, how they all had such amazing team spirit and worked together.
“I’m so proud of all of the members old and new, young and old who took part and represented their Pony Club, this is a promising and encouraging start for me and I love the enthusiasm the children are showing.”
The Axe Vale Blue team claimed second place in the 1’3 10yrs and under. The team comprised of Christopher Brown (aged eight, riding Piggy), Tula Youens-Stunell (aged 10, riding Cammie), Lucie Sivier- Voller (aged 9, riding Selina) and William Brown (aged six and riding Puffa)
Axe Vale Green also claimed a second place, in their case in the 1’9/2ft 14years and under category. Their team comprised of Lola Tremlett (aged eight on Rhys), Jack Teague (aged 10 on Peter Pan), Charlotte Hosking (aged 11, on Chesney) and Juliette Bostock (aged 9 and riding Dun ‘N’ Dusted)
There was a first place for the Axe Vale Red team in the 2ft/2’3 14years and under class. The team comprised; Hattie Tremlett (11 – Milo), Curtis Hoskings (14 – Mr P), Emily Wright (11 - Willowzz) and Charly Hosking (11- Afterglow Aramis).
Another first place was won by Axe Vale Purple team in the 2’6/2’9 Open class. This team comprised; Hannah Hosking (14 – Cherokee), Clare Daubney (13 – Range view Solo) and Sara Wright (15 - Mango).
Jack Teague, Lola Tremlett, (Axe Vale) Gabrielle Dunsford (East Devon PC) Frankie Bull ( Polden Hills) also took first place in a team that was a mix-and-match group, put together so all members from the pony club could be in a team.
In terms of individual honours. In class two Jack Teague was third and Lola Tremeltt took fourth. In class three Charlotte Hoskings was second and Hattie Tremeltt finished sixth.
In class four Hattie Tremlett was third and Curtis Hoskings finished sixth. In class five Charlotte Hoskings was third and in class six there was a fourth place finish for Sara Wright, Hannah Hosking was fifth and Clare Daubney was sixth.
