Abbie Hughes, 20, came back from a British Dressage competition, held at Wellbeck Equestrian Centre, with three wins, two seconds, a third, fourth and fifth. She rode four horses: Wiscombe Bonita owned by Annie Hamer, Haze Surprise owned by Trudie Jenkins, Trevoulter Tovak owned by Mel Young and Ramiros Secret owned by Christine Channing. She has recently set up her own yard in Luppitt (thanks to Mr and Mrs Brake), where she has a successful string of horses and is aiming for Young Riders' teams next year."All the horses were amazing. I was very pleased with their results - they have been busy eventing and jumping this season so it was a bit of a change. I will aim to qualify them for the winter dressage championships."Abbie has recently been given a 2 year old by Mr and Mrs Tincknell, which she is looking forward to training.Abbie would like to thank her sponsors for their continued support: Dave Selway Construction, Livery Dole, Beviss and Beckingsale solicitors and Town and Country supplies. "They are fantastic sponsors, helping to achieve every result," she said.
