Please be aware if you enter a pony race and decide not to run for any reason that is it quite likely that there will be a reserve rider waiting for a place, so please let Claire Wright (01598) 710495 or Lee Glanville (01752) 830439 know in plenty of time. It looks as though there will be great demand for places at Dulverton West, South Tetcott and Torrington Farmers. We are unable to accept late entries as all details have to be sent to the printers following close of entries but it is possible that if the 138 race is full, that a pony under 138 could race in the 148 race should there still be places available. It is hoped that the Devon and Cornwall pony racing finals at Umberleigh this year will be restricted to riders resident in the Devon and Cornwall area, who have competed in the area this season. It is a great day and the chance to ride in front of a massive crowd. Prizes for the race and the area points championship, plus the Alan Walter Horse Transport Trophy, are presented along with the area point to point jockeys' awards so that is always a good occasion. It would be great to see you all there so that the winner of the races comes from within the area. If we need to open up entry to outside riders, preference will be given to those who have finished in the top two in a Devon and Cornwall area race this season.
