LAMBERT'S Castle Riding Club's junior team did well at the Riding Club National Eventing Championships held at Offchurch Bury near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, where there was a very high level of competition.

The team finished fourth out of 25.

It comprised Olivia Benger on Private Audience, Kate Sopwith on Spotty Harry, Sophie Benger on McCoy and Jessica Rogers on Rangeview Solo.

Olivia and Jessica both finished third in each of their sections, while Jessica also came eighth on her second pony, Oaklyvaile Dillys, who she qualified on as an individual.

The team results were particularly good as they were one of the youngest competing. The cross-country course was very technical and challenging and a number of riders had problems - the final results were dependent on the cross-country phase. The dressage phase was ridden in a long arena which most team members were experiencing for the first time. They are really looking forward to next season and hopefully qualifying again.
