Lyme Regis rider earns silver medal

ENDURANCE RIDER Kirsty Wiscombe from Lyme Regis completed two 160km rides in the last two weeks and finished both.

ENDURANCE RIDER Kirsty Wiscombe from Lyme Regis completed two 160km rides in the last two weeks and finished both. She has four horses registered to compete this season plus her young riders Natasha and Dace Sainsbury, who also live in Lyme, who have three horses. Kirsty's two novice horses, Yawl Hillbilly and Ishtar Spirit, have been going well and have done three rides each. She said: "Billy gave a stunning display at the Golden Horseshoe stallion parade. "Natasha has upgraded her new young horse Kofi to advanced and Dace was placed second in the FEI 80km Young Riders' class at Dukeries in Nottinghamshire on Saturday. "Both girls hope to do an FEI 120km class next month so that they can qualify for the young rider Europeans in Spain in September." Dace is already qualified on Kirsty's horse Connie, who has come back sound after having four weeks off injured.She produced a wonderful result at the Golden Horseshoe Ride where she finished the 160km two day ride with a silver award. She is being aimed at the FEI Cirencester 160km in a day class next month. Eskar finished the 160km FEI one day ride at Dukeries in Nottinghamshire on Saturday in eighth place and is aimed at next year's Europeans in Italy.
