Maiden trophies at Modbury

The Modbury Harriers pony racing on May 2, will feature new trophies for the first maiden ponies home .

The Modbury Harriers pony racing on May 2, will feature new trophies for the first maiden ponies home in the 138 and 148cm races, kindly sponsored by Mark Treneer and George Welch. The Dartmoor races on Saturday will start the 138s at the top of the hill and the 148s at the bottom as in 2008. There are cups for the winners of all races and medals for the placed riders sponsored by Anthony Mildmay-White. Hoodies for the winners have been provided by Cloister Uniforms of Plympton. Rosettes have been sponsored by Amanda Darke. There is also a trophy for the best local in each race sponsored by Ann Kane. Best turned out sponsors are Sally Goodman for the Dartmoor and Betty Spry for the Modbury Harriers.
