Point to point season kicks off at Kenton

The national point to point season gets under way on Sunday, November 29 with the Black Forest Club meeting at Black Forest Lodge near Kenton, Exeter.

The national point to point season gets under way on Sunday, November 29 with the Black Forest Club meeting at Black Forest Lodge near Kenton, Exeter.

The first race is off at 11.30am and if previous years are anything to go by, racing will be very competitive, with a strong contingent of trainers bringing horses down the M5 from Wales.

The meeting kicks off with a young horses' two and a half mile maiden.

Entry costs £20 per car, £10 pedestrians.

By road from Exeter

Travel south on the A38 and take the A380 to Torquay. Turn east onto the B3381 signposted Kenton for 4 km to Black Forest Lodge.

By road from Torbay

Travel north on the A380 exiting onto the B3381 singposted Kenton, travel for 4 km to Black Forest Lodge.

By road from Plymouth

Travel north on the A38 and turn west for Dunchideock. Immediately turn east under the A38 and follow this road crossing the A380 via a bridge. Continue east along the B3381 signposted Kenton for 4 km to Black Forest Lodge.
