The season finale at Umberleigh (June 12) will conclude with a real festival of pony racing. Not only will the meeting host the finals of the Devon and Cornwall area, but also the Wessex area finals.

All four pony races - 138cm and 148cm finals from both areas - will be held after the point to point. Meeting secretary Carol Norman said: "Wessex lost their finals when Larkhill was called off, and we were only too pleased to offer to host the event at the Torrington Farmers point to point. It would have been a real shame for the young riders to have lost their finals after competing so hard during the season. To run both the finals together will be a brilliant end to the season and well worth staying to watch.
