Exe II win well at Kingsbridge

Exe II were 4-1 victors when they visited Kingsbridge for a South Division match.

There were just five minutes on the clock when a superb ball by Fi Moran released Heather Edworthy to run on and slot past the advancing keeper.

Kingsbridge equalised promptly through open-play. However, Exe were quickly back onto the front foot and Charlotte Howard fired them into a 2-1 half-time lead.

After the break the lead was extended with a well-worked short corner with Edworthy scoring her second and in the final minutes Mel Vaggers saw her powerful shot take a deflection before nestling in the corner of the net.
