Exeter Rowing Club announce date for first ‘Head’ of the new season

Exeter Rowing Club has announced that they will stage their winter time-trial ‘Head’ on Saturday, March 1.

It will take place on the Exeter Ship Canal, based out of the University Boat House at Countess Wear.

Racing will be split into two divisions.

The first will be a short course of 2,200 metres to be followed, 15 minutes later, by the 3,500 metre event.

Division One will start at 11am and the second division are off at 1.30pm.

The ‘Head’ will offer a comprehensive range of age and ability categories together with types of boats to include men’s and women’s eights.

The junior’s event will be split over two races with the 13s to 16s competing over the shorter course and the Junior 18s will contest the longer distance.
