Falmingos clinch Honiton Netball League
With two matches played whilst your reporter was in the sun – as indeed you were – the title has been decided – but second place is till up for grabs, writes Graham Ingram.
Flamingos clinched the title with a brace of wins from their last two games meaning they cannot now be caught at the top of the table.
They finished their campaign with wins over Pixies (52 -38), a game that saw a rare performance from Teresa Youens at GA that earned her the Player of the Match award.
Sara Green took the award for Pixies. Flamingos title winning victory was over JD Tyres by 57-37, with Karen Hall taking the accolades for Flamingos and Tanya Broom for JD.
OPG and Hi Q are both on 24 points, having drawn earlier in the season, with OPG in second because of a slightly superior goal difference.
