In first place with 41pts on c/b were Lesley Oxenham and Max Pipe; second, also 41pts, were Jan Dickinson and Terry Dimond. Third place went to Carole Booth and Bob Barnes with 39pts; fourth with 38pts, were lady captain Jackie Seager and Laurie Tollemache.

? sixty four Seniors played a three-man team event in brilliant sunshine, which for some was the only feel-good factor. With one player scoring on the odd numbered holes and two on the evens, several groups scored well, the best being Brian Hoepelman, John Vessey and the infamous Pete Morgan. Pete has proved that he can win off his reduced winter handicap, but now that he has regained two shots for the summer he is the man to beat. They scored 66 points, edging out the captain's team of John Discombe, Mike Stroud and John Kerr by one point. John Lamb, Bill Nicholls and Dave Morgan came in with 60 points, just beating Stan Squire, Ron Jones and Keith Crane on countback
