In the men’s Over-60s Triples League Feniton A were beaten on both rinks in their meeting with table topping Morchard Bishop, writes Roger Smith.

The Mid Devon side claimed a 40-28 victory.

There was better fortune for the Feniton B side as they maintained their challenge for promotion with an emphatic 49-29 win over Madeira D.

The winning rinks were T Young, M Evans and D Evans (24-13) and G Phillips, L Ley and Ro Clarke (25-16).

The ladies lost their final East Devon League match 37-24 to Topsham.

The lone winning rink was G Smith, J Evans, J Smith and R Veitch (17-16).

Previously, they had entertained Honiton in a friendly match and won 57-32. The winning rinks were G Blackmore, S Kury and J Smith (24-9) and G Smith, E Rolph and A Coyne (20-7).

The mixed team lost 66-44 to Belmont and they also went down 82-69 to Phear Park.

The winning rink was M Evans, V Jones, T Young and G Skinner (22-18).

However, they returned to winning ways defeating St Thomas 90-60. The winning rinks were L Morris, G Skinner, E Cox and K Lovering (28-11), J Livings, B Halse, R Cooke and A Kury (2-12)and D Morris, L Crook, S Kury and R Veitch (4-20).

This fine form was continued with a win against local rivals Ottery St Mary by 101-76. The winning rinks were L Crook, E Cox, L Ley and R Veitch (28-12), N Cox, J Smith, R Cooke and I Veitch (24-9), M Evans, J Rolph, E Rolph and R Smith (19-15) and F Jones, B Halse, A Smith and R North (16-14).
