Feniton B continuing Over-60s League winning ways

In the East of Exe League, the mixed team lost 67-60 at Hemyock with the lone success a 21-12 win for the rink of C Maynard, J Smith, R Cooke and K Lovering, writes Roger Smith.

In the Over-60s men’s league, the B team continued their winning ways with a 34-24 win over Tiverton Borough.

The winning rinks were C Maynard, L Ley and R Clarke, 19-10 and T Cox, D Downs and D Coyne, 15-14.

The A team also had a fine win, beating third placed Sidmouth 36-32 with the winning rink the one of D Sanders, G Phillips and A Smith, 19-14.

There was also a 61-47 win for the mixed team over Sidmouth with the winning rinks; P Figg, J Wheatley and I Veitch, 23-11, and A Morgan, A Pritchard, D Downs and R Veitch, 22-20.

Unfortunately, they lost a close match against visiting Bridportby, 76-79. The winning rinks were T Cox, P Bright, D Bowden and D Phillips, 22-16 and A Murdoch, B Bowden, A Pritchard and J Livings, 22-16.

Congratulations to Tracey Crawford and Judy Smith, who triumphed in the ladies’ unbadged Section Three pairs final. They defeated Eileen Rolph and Gill Campbell 20-15.
