Feniton bowlers back into outdoor action

Feniton BC are back outdoors after holding their opening drive on a gloriously sunny Sunday afternoon.

After the Reverend Cate Edmonds blessed the green, club president Richard North bowled the opening wood of the season.

More than 40 members enjoyed a pleasant afternoon of bowls.

The winter internal league competitions have finally been completed.

The skittles league was won by The Exiles (Dave and Cara Sanders, David and Liz Morris, Jim Skinner and Roy Lovering).

The winner of the Reg Parish singles skittles competition was Phil Spreadbury (69) and the runners-up were Kieran Daniels and Roger Clarke (67).

The highest individual score for the league season was won by Ruth Clarke (53).The highest men’s score was Martin Mitchell (50).

The knockout World Cup of Skittles was won by The Exiles.

The Last Man Standing Skittles Competition was won by Michael Chipperfield who defeated Christine Granger in the final.

The winter short mat bowls competition was won by Judy Smith, Avril Coyne, Les Crook and Roger Smith.

Potential members are invited to visit the club any Monday evening when coaching will be available.
