Feniton Bowls Club men’s team’s hopes of finishing top of section 3 of the County Trophy Competition were dashed by local rivals Ottery St Mary who defeated them by 76-84.
The winning rinks were G Osborne, R Lovering, A Kury and R Cooke 28-17 and M Whitcombe, C Jacob, J Skinner and K Lovering 18-17.
In the men’s over 60s triples league, the Hawks lost to Marina by 34-42. The Eagles lost narrowly to Crediton B by 32-34. The winning rink was L Crook, D Conbeer and D Coyne 19-17.
The Falcons enjoyed a good win against Seaton C by 42-28. The winning rink was A Murdoch, R Lovering and K Lovering 24-7.
In a mixed friendly, against visitors Crediton, the team were victorious by 73-59. The winning rinks were T Cox, C Jacob and B Cann 23-13 and A Coyne, R Smith and A Kury 21-13.
