Feniton bowlers maintain Two Counties League momentum

Feniton maintained their momentum in the Two Counties League by defeating Tiverton Borough 78-61, writes Roger Smith.
The winning rinks were T Cox, J Smith, I Veitch and A Kury (24-17), G Blackmore, M Sellick, S Kury and A Evans (19-12) and S Goodenough, G Phillips, R Veitch and D Coyne (19-14).
In the Over-60s Triples League the A team secured their future in Division Three by defeating Starcross A by 37-30.
The winning rink was R North, A Smith and R Smith (23-10). The B team suffered a rare defeat at home to Cullompton by (28-35).
The mixed team enjoyed a good win against local rivals Ottery St Mary by 89-79. The winning rinks were A Hughes, E Goodenough, D Phillips and R Smith (25-12), M Evans, A Coyne, G Phillips and C Granger (22-16) and M Mitchell, J Skinner, G North and R North (18-13).
This was followed by an away win against Belmont by 78-45. The winning rinks were A Coyne, R Cooke and K Lovering (28-8) and D Bowden, G Phillips and D Coyne (23-8).
In the semi-finals of the internal three-wood singles competition, Andrew Evans defeated Glenys North 55-29 and Tracey Crawford defeated Glynda Blackmore in a close match by 55-53.
In the final, Andrew Evans triumphed over Tracey Crawford by 58-44.
