Feniton’s hopes of success in the Two Counties league were finally dashed by a 93-46 home defeat to Culm Vale, writes Roger Smith,

In the Over-60s league the A team drew with Culm Vale C 34-34. The winning rink was M Evans, R North and J Skinner (19-15). The B team suffered a calamitous 55-16 defeat at home to bottom of the table Chagford.

The mixed team entertained Seaton and were defeated by 122-63. The only winning rink was M Evans, V Jones, J Livings and I Veitch (15-14).

After a weekend of intensive rivalry in the Club Three Bowls Pairs competition, in a variety of weather conditions, Michael Chipperfield and Christine Granger emerged victorious over David Sanders and Di Bowden, in an extremely close match, by 16-15.
