Feniton Bowling Club and friends have just returned from their annual bowling tour, this time to Worcester

Feniton Bowling Club and friends have just returned from their annual bowling tour, this time to Worcester. En route they stopped off at Portishead, Bristol for bowling (which had to be cancelled due to heavy rain), had lunch at the club.On the second day there was rain, thunder and lightning but not to worry the club laid on a horse race game! The third day, after a morning at the shops, members managed to play at two clubs in Droitwich. Monday, the last day, was time to pack and board the coach for home, stopping off to bowl at Weston super Mare, followed by a presentation dinner back at Brent Knoll.The winner of the Tour Shield was Margaret Shiel, with runner up Don Dalton, congratulations to both. Next year the club are off to Eastbourne.Tour fines, for every misdemeanor including being perfect, raised £150. was raised for Devon Air Ambulance. All 37 on tour were more than willing to contribute to such a good cause. Those who stayed at Feniton decided to have a Brunch and Bowls organised by l our club vice captain Les Ley, with his wife Sonia, who were very busy in the kitchen,. Players enjoyed 12 ends followed by a hearty brunch. Those who were able then went out and played another eight ends. The eventual winners of the game were Richard North, Jean Fallas and Bob Crowe-Swords with Roger Smith and Glenys North a very close runners up.
