Feniton continue good form as Sidmouth are sunk

Feniton continued their recent fine form with an 89-48 success over Sidmouth in a friendly match, writes Roger Smith.

The winning Feniton rinks were; F Jones, E Cox, K Lovering and A Kury (28-8), J Dibble, J Rolph, I Veitch and D Coyne (27-9), J Wheatley, D Sanders, G Phillips and P Spreadbury (16-14) and M Evans, J Livings, A Smith and R Clarke (18-17)

In the Over-60s triples league the B team have won five matches in a row and find themselves at the top of division seven.

They defeated Madeira D by 32-29 with the winning rink being; T Young, L Ley and G Phillips (16-9).

Next up they enjoyed a 51-38 win over Belmont B with the winning rinks being G Phillips, L Ley and R Clarke (23-16), and M Evans, D Conbeer and D Evans (28-22).

They then saw off Budleigh Salterton B 34-27 with M Evans, D Conbeer and D Evans (19-10), the winning rink.

Bradninch B were then beaten with the winning rinks being G Phillips, L Ley and R Clarke (18-16) and G Skinner, D Conbeer and D Evans (8-17), before beating Uffculme A 34-29.

Unfortunately the A team have suffered several narrow defeats losing to Morchard Bishop A by 33-35 with the winning rink comprising; E Cox, A Smith and R Smith (21-14), Okehampton A by 25-31 and Phear Park by 28-32 .

However, they did win away against North Tawton by 33-29 where the winning rinks was that of D Sanders, A Smith and R Smith (21-13).
