In the Two Counties league Feniton defeated local rivals Ottery St Mary, on all four rinks by 90-68, thereby maintaining their second spot in the league, writes Roger Smith.

The winning rinks were S Crawford, L Crook, R Smith and I Veitch (23-12), S Goodenough, D Sanders, M Sellick and D Coyne (26-20), R Cooke, E Cox, J Skinner and K Lovering (24-20) and T Cox, R Lovering, L Crawford and A Kury (17-16).

In the Over-60s men’s Triples League both teams gained two points from losing defeats.

The A team lost 30-26 to Tiverton Bowling Club.

The winning rink was R North, P Edmonds and A Evans (13-10). The B team lost to Phear Park B by (28-39). The winning rink was C Maynard, A Morgan and D Conbeer (20-9).

In the ladies NBTL Feniton lost 26-24 to Topsham. The winning rink was D Phillips, Ru Clarke and G North (11-8).

In a friendly match the ladies lost a close game against Honiton by 44-52. The winning rink was A Coyne, C Granger and G North 18-15.
